Teacher Ciara has been a part of the WPNS Family since she was 14 years old when she served as a Junior Helper in the Summer School program. She has since served as a Teacher’s Aide. In 2018 she began her role as a full time teacher at WPNS, soon becoming an Assistant Director/5-Day Teacher. In 2020 she stepped into the role as Director/Teacher.
She grew up in Winters and is a WPNS Alumni from the Class of 2001, and she graduated in the Winters High School Class of 2014. She received an Associates in Arts for Social Sciences, Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in ECE, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and ECE Administration.
She lives in Vacaville with her fiance Beau and their cat Sadie.
Assistant Director/2-Day Teacher
Teacher Karen has been active in the early childhood education industry for 32 years. She previously served as the WPNS Director from 2003 to 2019. Before that she ran the Karen Lynne School. She received her Associates in Arts degree from the Solano College Early Childhood Education program in 1991.
She was born in Southern California, but has been a hometown Winters girl since her family moved here in 1972. She is a Winters High School alumni, and has been part of many volunteer and community service efforts including, but not limited to, participating with Winters Lions Club and helping organize the Winters Community Blood Drives.
She has been married to her husband Big John for 33 years. They have two children, Brock and Ashlynne, who also were raised in Winters.
