Orientation is August 16th

Orientation will be held at WPNS on August 16th from 6-8pm. This is a mandatory event for all parents. Board members will be available to help with childcare if needed.

Please use the checklist provided in your welcome packet to help you remember all the items you should bring with you for this event (these include your supply drive contribution, check, child’s helmet, change of clothes in a ziplock and any paperwork that has not yet been submitted). See you all soon!

Supply Drive Time!

Hi All! It’s Supply Drive Time!

We will hold a SUPPLY DRIVE to stock up our little red school. We all appreciate how much time, energy, and resources everyone puts in to make our school such a special place! A big continued thank you.

Here are the details:

-Sign up sheet will be posted on the kitchen door.
-Please sign up for 2 ROWS (some are $20 so if you want to stay at $20 cap, 1 row is fine) and buy the amount specified in each row. I added some notes to help guide you. This should put you in the $15-20 range for all items. (The range is flexible)
-Bring in your items the week of Nov 26-30 (week after break)
-Sign off when you deliver and put your items away (check in with someone working to find space in the kitchen, pantry, closet)
-All items should be family size/economy size.
-If you do not sign up by Friday, November 16th- I will assign you items and email you over break.

Thank you!

“Your Rules are Dumb”

Don’t forget to join us tonight at Pioneer Presbyterian Church for a Presentation of “Your Rules are Dumb” by author and educator, Rebecah Freeling.

“When you can teach your child/student alternative, more productive behavior while also genuinely appreciating his/her bad behavior as the strength is represents, your child/student gets to experience the changes you want him/her to make as a movement toward greater capacity instead of a movement away from some deficiency.”

Create a Sidewalk Chalk Obstacle Course

School is winding down for everyone and our kids are getting even more antsy in anticipation for summer vacation. You don’t need to buy a lot of fancy things to keep them active outside. Sidewalk chalk and a little inspiration can help your family to create a chalk obstacle course outside. Switch it up often to keep things fun and fresh! Get the details here.

WPNS Alumni Call Out

We are proud of our Alumni and their experiences are important to us. We value your time and would be grateful if you would share your experiences of your time at our school with us and how it made a difference in your life or your child’s life. We will be sharing testimonials on our website to help provide potential families with reasons straight from alumni about why they should seriously consider WPNS.

We are also trying to get back in touch with all of our alumni families – both families and students who attended. We are building our alumni database so that we can better communicate with you about what is going on at the school, how your support is helping the current members, and about any upcoming events and opportunities – including our alumni event. Please be sure to submit your current contact information to us.
