School is winding down for everyone and our kids are getting even more antsy in anticipation for summer vacation. You don’t need to buy a lot of fancy things to keep them active outside. Registration for the Winters Parent Nursery School 2017-2018 school year is now opened. The Registration priority schedule is as follows:
- Returning students and siblings of currently enrolled families: February 28 – March 3, 2017
- Alumni Families: March 6 – 17, 2017
- New Families: March 6, 2017
New students should meet the following age requirements by September 1, 2017:
- 3 years old for Tuesday/Thursday program
- 4 years old for the Monday/Wednesday/Friday program
Children meeting the following age requirements by September 1, 2017 may enroll if space is permitted and at the discretion of the Director and Board of Directors:
- 2 years, 9 months for Tuesday/Thursday program
- 3 years, 9 months for Monday/Wednesday/Friday program
- 2 years, 8 months and younger is at the Discretion of the WPNS Director
Registration Packets may be picked up at WPNS Monday-Friday between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM. A non-refundable $50 registration fee and required information in the packet must be turned in to secure a space for your child for the 2017-2018 school year.
Once classes are full, new families may be put on a waiting list for the following school year in the order in which they inquire.
WPNS offers two levels of parent participation for our membership:
Level A: This level requires families to work in the classroom every other week, hold a job or board position, work fundraisers, one workday and one project workday per a year.
- Tuesday/Thursday Program: $110.00/month
- Mon/Wed/Fri Program: $160.00/month
Level B: This level requires families to hold a job or board position, work fundraisers, one workday and one project workday per a year. Families will also contribute to our snack and supplies each month based on assigned items.
- Tuesday/Thursday Program: $185.00/month
- Mon/Wed/Fri Program: $250.00/month

Last night we had Family Night and visited the Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon. We had so much fun playing in the corn bath, playing in the corn maze and over all having fun together as a WPNS family. Cool Patch Pumpkins is donating pumpkins for our Children’s Festival pumpkin patch and we wanted to say a big THANK YOU and support them. We are still accepting donations and sponsors for our annual Children’s Festival. There are only two weeks left until the big event! We have games and dancing the whole family can play, including face painting, a cake walk, Kona snow cones and more. Plus our Silent Auction and raffle has some amazing prizes for parents.

Hi everyone! It’s that time of year again! The WPNS Children’s Festival is happening on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10am-3pm at the Creekside Recreational Park here in Winters, CA. Pick a Pumpkin tickets are officially on sale now from any current f
amily! Tickets can be exchanged for a pumpkin at thefestival plus will enter you into a raffle to win $500!! (Do not need to be present to win. Winning ticket will be pulled at random from all entries on the day of the Children’s Festival. Winner will be notified at the email address provided on the ticket stub.)
We will have kid-friendly games, fun music and our annual silent auction and raffle. We are seeking individuals and businesses who would be interested in becoming a Children’s Festival Sponsor and/or donating a prize basket for the Festival’s Silent Auction/raffle. Proceeds from the event are used to bring in special art and science programs, purchase playground equipment and supplies necessary for our children’s education. Thank you everyone for helping to spread the word about our school event.
Registration for the 2014-2015 school year has begun at WPNS. Students are accepted for the school using the following priority system:
March 1st: Alumni Families
April 15th : New Families
New students should be 3 years old by September 1st for the Tuesday/Thursday class, and 4 years old by September 1st for the Monday/Wednesday/Friday class in order to enroll. Children who are 2 years, 9 months by September 1st may enroll in the Tuesday/ Thursday class and, 3 years, 9 months for the Monday/Wednesday/ Friday class if space allows and at the discretion of the Director and the Board.
Registration Packets for alumni and new families may be picked up at WPNS Monday-Friday between 8:30 and 11:30 AM. Alumni families must return completed packets along with the non-refundable $40 registration fee before April 15th in order to secure a spot for the 2014-2015 school year.
New family registration will begin on Monday, April 15th.
Completed registration packets with the non-refundable $40.00 registration fee, will be accepted on a first come basis from 8:30-10:00 AM on April 15th at WPNS. Space is limited. Registration for new families will continue as long as there are still openings. Once classes are full, new families may be put on a waiting list for the following school year in the order in which they inquire.
